Counselling for those seeking asylum and refugees

This service is now closed to new referrals as the funding is not being renewed.  Existing referrals will be processed as best as possible.

We know that for these members of our community, accessing therapeutic support can be a difficult process. Our Pioneer Fund project, in partnership with Liverpool City Council, is specifically targeted to provide counselling for this client group. We accept referrals from other organisations in the area who identify clients who may benefit from counselling; clients may also self-refer.

In addition, we can arrange an interpreter to be present for clients if required.

In view of the Covid-19 pandemic vulnerable people in this client group may feel even further isolated from society, whilst we at Compass are unable to offer face to face counselling at present, organisations are still available that maybe able to assist. Please click the below link for a list of organisations that maybe able to help you/others.
