Compass is proud to announce that it is now offering video counselling for all of our clients through the video software ProblemShared.
ProblemShared was founded to improve and expand access to mental health services over an affordable platform. It offers a safe place for people to seek help and we at Compass will be using this system to provide counselling to all those clients that wish to use it.
ProblemShared has developed a highly secure patient record and video conferencing platform so Compass clients can be confident in it providing the same level of high confidentiality as they would expect with our face to face and telephone counselling. All data is encrypted using the latest encryption standards to ensure that all client information is safe and the calls are secure and uninterrupted.
This system allows any new referrals to have both assessments and counselling sessions done via video as opposed to telephone, and if any of our current clients wish to switch to the new system we just ask that you give Compass a call and we will arrange that for you.
We have to thank the National Lottery who has provided Compass with the funding for us to go into this partnership with ProblemShared through the Lottery’s Coronavirus Support Fund. The National Lottery grant is also in partnership with the Government.
For over 40 years Compass has only ever offered face to face counselling, and during the course of 2020, Compass has grown into a charity that can offer remote counselling of both telephone and video to the people of Merseyside. Whilst face to face is not an option at present due to the current pandemic, Compass will in the future be able to offer a blended approach of all three so therefore suiting all people and all opportunities.
