We are pleased to announce that we are extending our Employee Assistance Program and Counselling For You services to Chester.

This is a 6 month pilot programme and is part of our partnership working with Emerald Therapy Services.

The service will start in November 2023 with one of our experienced counsellors, Helen, ( please see bio below) based at the Emerald Therapy’s city centre base on Watergate Street.

As with our Dale Street services, referrals can be made by individuals, professionals, or Employers by completing the on-line referral forms below, and returning it to enquiries@compass-counselling.org.uk

Helen will be at the Chester base on Thursdays, and is available for face to face sessions, telephone and video sessions between 10am-6pm.

An introduction/background information

I believe that counselling can be beneficial for anyone who is willing to talk honestly about their concerns and to keep an open mind about making changes in their life.  In my view, every one of us is a valued individual and a work in progress, who deserves to be heard without judgement.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in Clinical Counselling, 2014

Experience

I have 8 years’ experience as a professional counsellor with Compass Counselling Services, Liverpool; seeing clients of various ages and backgrounds, about a wide range of issues.  My approach is mainly Person-Centred which involves focussing on the individual, but I also use some cognitive behavioural and solution-focused techniques, as well as psychoeducation where appropriate.
