If your workplace has a contract with us, we can arrange counselling for you. Your workplace will fund a set number of counselling sessions for you.

We all experience issues at different stages in our lives. Experiences such as bereavement and loss, relationship and family difficulties, and stresses at home can all have an impact on us.  It is important to access support at an early stage.

All Compass Employee Assistance Counsellors are qualified, and either registered or accredited by the British Association for Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) and as members are required to adhere to their Ethical Framework regarding professional standards and good practice.

Counselling takes place away from the workplace at our City Centre offices, or remotely via telephone or video services. Appointments are available 10am-4pm Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, till 8pm on Wednesdays or and 10am - 3pm on Fridays.

We are required to work within BACP guidelines regarding confidentiality and we understand that respecting clients’ privacy and confidentiality is a fundamental requirement for keeping trust and valuing client autonomy.   Information that is passed on to your employer therefore usually relates only to the initial referral, your attendance at sessions and information needed for invoicing processes.  Any exceptions to this will be discussed with you at your first appointment.

Please contact our office, either by phone on 0151 237 3993 or through and our staff can answer any questions you may have.

"What I appreciated was no judgement, a few questions, LOTS of listening, space to work my way though the trauma, flexibility of approach depending on what I needed, silence to reflect, insight and small observations, someone in my corner just for me. A light provided on the situation and a guiding hand to help me through it. Thank you [counsellor's name]"
