International Volunteer Manager’s Day

By 5th November 2019 Uncategorised

Today is International Volunteer Managers Day (IVMDay), the day was founded for the first time in 1999, and so it is it’s 20th anniversary. The push for IVMDay was led by American Nan Hawthorn who helped form a committee to explore a day recognising the work of Volunteer Managers, in order to bring recognition to individual Managers of Volunteers and their roles in the support of the world’s volunteers.

Here at Compass, we are honoured to have a team of dedicated and hard-working volunteers, this is both in counselling and trustee capacity.  These individuals give their time and knowledge to help Compass grow and to be able to help as many people in the Merseyside area access valuable counselling. Compass would not work the way we do without these volunteers.

On behalf of Compass, we would like to issue a great big thank you to all involved on a volunteer basis.
